Would the people that support abortion support it if they were still in their mother’s womb?

I deem myself as the last person you would hear an opinion from about what you should do with your body. I distance myself that far as I trust that the body and everything that constitutes it is a tool that we employ to go about our daily business. It is as fundamental as gravity to us, and without it, we would be as good as dead. For this, I never want to find myself in a position where I am commanding orders to anyone in regard to how they should live with their body besides encouraging them to exercise.

On contrary…wait for it…I am Pro-life. You may also call it anti-abortion. If you are a social media fanatic, you may have landed debates between the pro-life and pro-choice movements. Pro-choice emphasizes the right of women to decide whether to terminate a pregnancy while Pro-life emphasizes the right of the fetus to grow and be born.

As a pro-life, I came to learn that it is not just the physical
damages that the abortion victim suffers, but also psychological
damages.

It is seven years now since my cousin underwent an abortion, but to this day, she is dogged with trauma. She traumatizes from how the moment almost bled her to death to envisioning how old her child would be now. Trauma seems not to care that the financial circumstances and school condition couldn’t afford her to sustain pregnancy let alone raise a child. She continues to regret it. I also know of other two women that had an abortion and it has absolutely devastated them that they would give anything to have that moment back.

I get perplexed on why there is so much energy that the pro-choice wing pours into pushing the abortion agenda instead of preaching responsibility and accountability to the world. “Some contraceptives are ineffective and fail to work, sometimes condoms break, etc,” they defend it. Yes, that is true, but how about going with those assumptions before sexual intercourse that when things go south, you know they will be a baby on the way? If not, be responsible and keep your clothes on. “Okay how the rape victims?” they blurt. We can agree that most of the abortions in the world are not practiced on rape victims, but somehow, the pro-choice say it like they are the majority, only to deflect accountability of the common cases. Majority of pro-choice women had abortion and they claim to be proud of it to cover up the pain it causes them, but they low-key feel the pain, and if they get others to do the same, then it is easier to cope.

Hard pill to shallow: Abortion is not a choice. It is cold blood
murder.

However much the pro-choice wing wants to trivialize it to “choice”, abortion is not a choice but cold blood murder. When a pregnant woman gets murdered, they call it double homicide, but abortion supporters say that the fetus is mere cells. The child is a blessing from God because sex’s main goal is procreation. So if abortion is legalized, legal authorities should add that it’s the only murder allowed so that the person doing it knows that they are committing murder.
